Criticism aimed at Jujutsu Kaisen manga for the repetitive execution of the storyline since the death of Kusakabe Atsuya, one of the strongest Grade 1 sorcerers at the hands of Sukuna, the Curse King, in chapter 254, 3 days ago.

Fans on Reddit and Twitter started to criticize Akutami's writing, as every newly introduced character would be killed by Sukuna without any strategy at all. The obscurity of Gojo Satoru's death also seemed to be stalled, which made the pace of the story stagnant because the audience could already guess the plot.

Akutami Gege was previously praised for their realistic commitment. If most powerful enemies in anime are finished off with 'the power of friendship', Akutami makes Sukuna as deadly as he is, a King of Curse, who is difficult to defeat even by the Special Grade Sorcerer Gojo Satoru. This storytelling is effective for maintaining dynamic and giving the protagonist character time to develop but arguably fails to attract the audience's attention due to the lengthy plot progression.

As the manga is in its final arc, fans are looking forward to the latest developments in protagonist Itadori Yuuji's quest to defeat Sukuna. All eyes are on Akutami to see how their story will develop and whether the criticism will affect Yuuji's story and the world of Jujutsu sorcerer.
