The five years of waiting is finally over! "One Punch Man" fans can rejoice as the hit anime series has been officially returned for a third season. The announcement came via a video teaser posted on EMOTION Label Channel yesterday (29/02), sending the fandom into a frenzy.

In the trailer, Doctor Genus explains the concept of a limiter on living beings, where a human cannot break the limiter no matter how hard he tries. However, Saitama, the bald MC with no special background, managed to break the limiter. The trailer shows Garou fighting Bug God and Royal Ripper, and the phrase Supreme Power vs Ultimate Fear is shown, which seems to refer to the battle between Saitama and Garou as the main villains in this series.

As can be seen in the ending credits of the trailer, J.C Staff is back as a production company after previously holding One Punch Man Season 2. This is a little disappointing for some of the fans, as J.C. Staff was previously considered to have failed to execute the epic fighting scenes and other details of One Punch Man Season 2, which was a downgrade from the first season held by Madhouse.

As for the cast itself, they kept Furukawa Makoto as Saitama and introduced Midorikawa Hikaru as Garou. In addition, Namikawa Daisuke who voiced Pig God in the previous season will voice Doctor Genus.

Still in production, no official release date has been stated. However, speculations from some spoilers made by their voice actors say One Punch Man Season 3 will most likely premiere in mid-2024. Stay tuned for more updates!
